1) Select "Handmap" → "Layer Management" (Fig. 7.0.1).
2) Select a file and click on the "Insert" button (you can also click on "Add", the image will be added to the end of the list of files, will be displayed at the top of the map, overlaying other layers) (Figure 7.0.2).
3) In the Layer Type combo box, select "Image Layer" (Figure 7.0.3).

4) Select the image file and click OK (Figure 7.0.4).

5) The image is added as shown in Figure 7.0.5.
