According to the Emission Standards for Water Pollutants in Medical Institutions, the total chlorine emission limit value is 0.5mg/L (daily average).
The Comprehensive Sewage Discharge Standard (GB8978-1996), which was approved by the former State Environmental Protection Bureau and jointly issued by the former State Environmental Protection Bureau and the State Bureau of Technical Supervision, has already stipulated the sewage discharge requirements for hospitals, veterinary hospitals and other medical institutions.
Since the effective date of this standard, it replaces 18 national pollutant discharge standards, including the "Sewage Discharge Standards for Medical Institutions (Trial)" (GBJ48-1983). Therefore, since January 1, 1998, "medical institutions sewage discharge standards (for trial implementation)" GBJ48-1983 has been abolished.
