On April 1 2006, "DENTORL" was officially renamed as "DENAN". Different from the conventional control of the previous legal system, the new system will be guaranteed by unofficial institutions to ensure the safety of products.
Japanese buyers must register with METI within one month after purchasing the goods. All electrical and electronic products sold in DENAN catalogue in Japan must pass PSE certification. DENAN in Japan divides electrical and electronic products into two categories: designated products, including 1 15 products; Non-specific products, including 338 products. Specific electrical products must be inspected by a third-party certification body authorized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and a PSE certification certificate must be issued, valid for 3 to 7 years, with the PSE diamond logo on the product. For non-specific electrical products, it is necessary to prove the conformity of the products through self-inspection and declaration, and affix the PSE circle mark on the products.
