Hearing aids are usually not directly swiped on the health insurance card. Hearing aids, as rehabilitation class II medical devices, are generally not covered by health insurance. Medicare generally has certain rules for reimbursement of drugs and medical devices, while hearing aids belong to the rehabilitation class of appliances, which are not covered by medical insurance.
The hearing impaired can apply for a hearing aid through the formal invoice in the regular store, to the local disability organizations to reimburse part of the cost of the hearing aid or after the hearing disability level identification.
