Poland closes all schools and entertainment venues

In response to the new epidemic of pneumonia, which has also been diagnosed in Poland, the Polish government has announced that it will close all schools and entertainment venues in the country for two weeks in order to better control the spread of the epidemic and prevent its further development.

11 news that the Polish Ministry of Education spokesman confirmed in a statement, Poland will be next Monday (17) from the closure of the territory of all schools and universities, kindergartens, nurseries, and museums, cinemas, theaters and other cultural and entertainment venues until March 25 to control the spread of the new coronavirus.

Cumulative Confirmed Cases

At 2400 on March 11, Poland's health ministry announced that the number of confirmed cases of neocoronavirus pneumonia had risen to 31, an increase of 9 cases from March 10th. Among the day's new cases was a 9-year-old girl whose father was diagnosed with C.N.C.P. after returning from Germany, and whose mother was later diagnosed as well. Poland's health ministry said all patients in the country were now in good condition.

Warsaw National Museum

The National Museum is Warsaw's largest museum and houses a rich collection of some 11,000 pieces of ancient Greek, Egyptian and Roman art. There are also Italian, French, Dutch, German and Russian paintings from the 16th century.

Palace of Science and Culture

The Palace of Culture and Science, a landmark in the center of Warsaw, was completed in 1955 and, at 230 meters, is the tallest building in Poland today. It was a gift to Poland from the Soviet Union back then, and the overall style is out of place in the center of Warsaw, and Poles mostly dislike the building, seeing it as a symbol of Soviet domination. Poles have given the building many ironic aliases, such as Stalin's Syringe and Russian Wedding Cake. Throughout the building there are conference halls, cinemas, museums, offices, exhibition halls, schools, and much more. There are a number of national cultural exhibitions here on a regular basis. Look for it when you get lost, the Palace of Culture is located in the middle of the Central Railway Station and the Central Metro Station, so if you find it, you will find your way home.
