Located in the northern part of Tianjin, Tianjin Baodi District People's Hospital, founded in 1949, is a modern tertiary comprehensive hospital with convenient transportation, beautiful environment, perfect facilities, advanced equipment, complete department setup and strong technical force, integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and preventive health care, and is the clinical college of Tianjin Medical University. As a medical center in the northern part of Tianjin, the hospital is responsible for the medical treatment, prevention, health care, and emergency treatment of the people in Baodi District and the surrounding areas, as well as the clinical teaching of Tianjin Medical University and Tianjin Medical University. 2009 saw the opening of the Baodi Clinical College of Tianjin Medical University, and 2013 saw the establishment of the Joint Research Center for Translational Medicine with the Proteome Research Center in Beijing.
