In recent years, Vietnam's pharmaceutical and medical market demand for imports is growing rapidly, in just a few years has attracted a lot of Chinese enterprises to develop this market, and has achieved good results. Since 2007, the organizing committee for the first time named "China Medicine Pharmaceutical, Medical Equipment (Vietnam) Exhibition", making the exhibition as the most specialized international exhibition of Vietnam's pharmaceutical, medical equipment industry is also the exclusive "China" brand exhibition for Chinese pharmaceutical, medical enterprises to develop the Vietnamese market. Trade In order to meet the market demand, the same period will be held: Vietnam International Hospital, Medical Supplies Exhibition, Vietnam International Dental Exhibition.

In 2012, the Chinese Pavilion had outstanding results:

Currently, Vietnam's medical market is in a period of rapid growth, and in the next 3-5 years, a lot of money will be invested in the upgrading of the old medical equipment to meet the growing demand for the medical industry in the country! This has bred huge business opportunities for Chinese enterprises, so since the first China Medicine, Medical (Vietnam) Exhibition was held, every year has attracted hundreds of Chinese enterprises to participate!

Vietnam State General Pharmaceutical Company, Central First and Second Pharmaceutical Import and Export Corporation all regularly visit the exhibition to seek cooperation with Chinese enterprises! Meanwhile, China's medical equipment and medical supplies are popular among Vietnamese customers. Medical equipment is to encourage the import of products, import tariffs are only 0-8%, the first to enter some of the Chinese enterprises have found a Vietnamese agent, and set up offices in Hanoi or Saigon, the products are sold throughout Vietnam. Compared with other Southeast Asian countries, the medical device market access threshold set by the Vietnamese government is relatively not high. Vietnam currently has 65 medical device manufacturers, including domestic and joint venture back, or foreign investment: 342 medical device import and export enterprises (Source: Vietnam Ministry of Health 2008). Vietnamese enterprises produce mainly hospital indoor supplies, operating room equipment, disposable consumer goods and some medical electronic equipment, such as extracorporeal gallstone crusher, X-ray machine, fetal heart rate diagnostic hearings, semiconductor laser e-needle and electrocardiogram equipment, etc., is far from being able to meet the needs of Vietnam's medical equipment, especially the market for advanced equipment.

Vietnam's pharmaceutical market analysis:

Vietnam's per capita consumption of pharmaceuticals will rise from $16.13 in 2008 to $60.30 in 2019. As a neighboring country, Vietnam is y influenced by traditional Chinese culture, and Vietnamese consumers are very fond of famous Chinese patent medicine brands exported from China. In areas such as the treatment of diabetes, women's menstrual cramps, hepatitis B, kidney stones, skin diseases, tumors, cardiovascular drugs, etc., pCms have a wide range of "popularity". in August 2007, Beijing Tongrentang officially set up in Vietnam, the establishment of Beijing Tongrentang Vietnam Associated Company to introduce the best quality pCms into the Vietnamese market. in June 2006, by the China Pharmaceutical Foreign Trade Organization (CPFTO), the Chinese pharmaceutical industry was given the opportunity to develop its own brand of pCms. In June, by the China Pharmaceutical Foreign Trade Corporation and Vietnam Central First Pharmaceutical Factory and other five companies *** with the investment in the establishment of the Vietnam-China Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. completed the completion of the pharmaceutical plant, with a total investment of 3.435 million U.S. dollars, the main production of cephalosporin and penicillin antibiotic powder injection, in Vietnam belongs to the leading level, at present, the Vietnam-China Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received orders for the production of medicines, has been completed ahead of schedule for this year's sales task.

In recent years, Vietnam's pharmaceutical industry has developed rapidly, the pharmaceutical market is pregnant with huge potential, currently 47% of the drugs imported from abroad, Vietnam's domestic drugs can only meet the market demand for 53% of the drugs, and most of the conventional drugs and low-priced drugs. Various specialized, special and expensive medicines are basically imported from abroad. On average, the Ministry of Health approves 1,500 licenses for drug registration each year. Currently there are 221 foreign companies operating in Vietnam, of which China occupies the third place, after India and France. Vietnam has opened up the field of drug business to the outside world since 2007, and Vietnam's pharmaceutical industry has fulfilled the agreement signed with the WTO to allow foreign pharmaceutical companies to open branches in Vietnam. From January 1, 2008, foreign enterprises (accounting for less than 51% of the shares) can engage in the business of import and export of medicines; from January 1, 2009, foreign enterprises can sell medicines directly to domestic enterprises with distribution rights in Vietnam. Meanwhile the tax rate on medicines will be reduced by 0-0.5% from the current 0-10%. By the end of '08, among the 89 pharmaceutical factories in Vietnam that met GMP standards, 22 had foreign capital amounting to US$192.9 million and 40 production lines with an output value of US$158.273 million, accounting for about 22 percent of the total value of drugs produced by the nation's drug factories.

Fifteen of the foreign-invested pharmaceutical enterprises in Vietnam are 100% wholly foreign-owned, one wholly Chinese-owned, built in Hai Phong, Vietnam, has been certified by GMP and started production, and 17 of the joint ventures have been formally produced, with production accounting for 12% of the total output in Vietnam and 17% of the business turnover. 212 foreign companies have been granted licenses to operate pharmaceuticals in Vietnam, 97 of which have offices. have offices. More than 30 Chinese*** drug manufacturers have been granted licenses to operate in Vietnam, selling drugs under their own brands.

Vietnam may become China's biggest buyer of medical devices

A new regulation on mandatory health insurance for the public was passed in November 2008 and came into effect in October 2009. The Vietnamese government hopes that the health insurance will cover all Vietnamese people by 2014. The new regulation provides for three levels of health insurance. Medical insurance at designated medical facilities covers the entire population, while medical insurance at other facilities will cover 95 percent and 80 percent, respectively.

Vietnam's hospitals at all levels are mostly equipped with products imported from the US, France, and Japan in the 1980s, and the government has now realized the urgent need to upgrade common medical equipment in hospitals. The Vietnamese government has decided to invest 45.2 trillion dong (US$250 million) and build new special hospitals, upgrade existing special hospital facilities, upgrade provincial general hospitals, and develop other weak medical areas in the 2009-2013 period. Vietnam's medical equipment market is growing rapidly as about 86.5% of the market is dominated by foreign medical equipment. Singapore, China and Japan are the main suppliers of medical equipment, accounting for 43.1% of the imported equipment market in 2008. Vietnam's domestic production of medical equipment is limited to some basic items such as syringes, hospital beds, etc., and the total value of Vietnam's exports of medical equipment in 2008 amounted to only 185.5 million U.S. dollars, of which 29.6% was exported to Japan.

According to foreign news reports, Vietnam's medical system is currently the most urgent shortage of medical equipment products is the "artificial kidney" (kidney dialysis device), because many patients in the country are waiting in line to do hemodialysis. Vietnamese domestic enterprises have not yet been able to produce their own hemodialysis machines. It is reported that a Japanese medical equipment company invested US$4.86 million three years ago in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to set up a production plant with an annual output of 500,000 sets of artificial kidneys/hemodialyzers, and the company's sales have reached US$107.5 million/year. In addition to the urgent need for hemodialysis machines, Vietnam's main purchases from Chinese enterprises include: surgical instruments, pharmaceutical equipment, pharmaceutical packaging equipment and materials, various endoscopes, medical reagents and contrast agents, dental equipment, ear, nose and eye treatment equipment, electrocardiographs and electroencephalographs, obstetrical care equipment, rehabilitation equipment, electronic intensive care devices, orthopedic equipment (such as various artificial joints, etc.), extracorporeal lithotripsy (biliary) Lithotripsy equipment (such as ultrasonic lithotripter), high-resolution X-ray machines, color and black and white ultrasound, laser diagnostic equipment, laser cosmetic instruments, digital hearing aids, artificial blood vessels, anesthesia machines, respiratory machines and so on, the above products are also the upgraded medical equipment and devices that are urgently needed by provincial and municipal hospitals in Vietnam.

At present, Vietnam has 13,433 medical units*** under the state management, including 903 public hospitals and 68 private hospitals. There are nearly 2,000 hospitals at district level and above. The total number of beds 202,941 beds per 10,000 people, the ratio of beds is 23.81. (Source: Vietnam Ministry of Health 2003-2007 statistics and 932 hospitals inspected in 2008) If the Vietnamese government really implement a huge amount of money to update the obsolete medical equipment, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the medical equipment industry in China. The government of Vietnam has been able to implement a huge amount of money to update the obsolete medical equipment, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our medical equipment industry.
