It's the pinnacle of helicopters
Introducing Weapons and Equipment and Popularizing Military Knowledge
Today, we bring you the "pinnacle of helicopters made by mankind" to all military enthusiasts. The Black Hawk helicopter, which has been in the U.S. military for more than 40 years and shows no signs of being retired, is the most versatile helicopter in the world. Its versatility is its greatest strength.
The equipment is a twin-turboshaft-engine, single-rotor helicopter developed and produced by the famous Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation of the United States. It is a medium-sized utility and attack helicopter based on the Sikorsky S-70 helicopter.
The Blackhawk series of helicopters can perform a number of different missions, including: tactical personnel transportation, electronic warfare and air rescue. For air attack missions, the Black Hawk can carry 11 soldiers and appropriate equipment, along with a 105mm M102 howitzer, 30 rounds of 105mm ammunition and four gunners.
The short underwing carries four Hellfire anti-tank missiles, a 19-round, nine-head serpentine 70mm rocket nest and two sets of M230 guns. Two heavy machine guns are mounted on both sides of the fuselage. This equipment is an essential part of the helicopter's combat operations. Therefore, in terms of firepower, "Black Hawk" can compete with "Apache" helicopter gunships.
The Black Hawk's most iconic design is the oversized hatch on either side of the cabin. The hatch has two portholes that slide back. There are even shots in the movie where the hatches on both sides open to allow air-to-air missiles to pass through. This large hatch design speeds up getting personnel on and off the ship and minimizes the amount of time personnel are exposed to the fire zone.
The Black Hawk has been in service with the U.S. military for more than 40 years, with production totaling more than 4,500. Even if the U.S. Army is equipped with the new remaining helicopters, not willing to eliminate. Looking at its strong versatility." The most important feature of the "Black Hawk" is its versatility, transportation, special operations, anti-submarine, electronic warfare, medical, rescue, fire assault and so on. It seems that there is nothing that the "Black Hawk" can not do.
Because of its excellent characteristics, in the 1980s, China purchased 24 Black Hawk helicopters from the United States. These 24 Black Hawk helicopters have played a great role in our country and are still in service today. It became the only American equipment still in service in our army.
In more than 30 years of service in China, the Blackhawk has flown over the Mutuo area, which is more than 7,000 meters above sea level, many times. Four Blackhawks flew continuously for 320 hours, delivering a year's worth of supplies needed by local residents. In 2008, during the Wenchuan earthquake relief efforts, all 18 of these Blackhawks were put to work to meet the needs of the plateau region.
The Blackhawk uses a T700 engine with increased thrust, and was once the only model that could be used reliably in China's highland areas, making an important contribution to border supply and accident rescue.
Helicopter technology relies on experimentation to obtain a large amount of valuable data. Without the accumulation of time and technology, it is difficult to complete the improvement and refinement of equipment, which is why the "Black Hawk" helicopter is still in use today. The U.S. Army has completed the generalization of the Black Hawk, which is now equipped with more than 4,000 units. It is a versatile helicopter with unlimited upgrade potential.
