1. He was born in Shanghai on August 24, 1927, originally from Wangjiang, Anhui Province, with ancestral roots in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. He was born into a family of feudal scholars. His great-grandfather was a Daodai in the Qing government, in charge of salt affairs, but later resigned in anger because of disagreement with his superiors on diplomatic issues. He is a theoretical physicist, philosopher of science and sociologist of science, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has made unique research in the nature of universal Fermi weak action, double dispersion relation, the theory of laminar model, quantum field theory of composite particles, neutrino mass and dark matter, etc. Especially, he has provided a theoretical framework for the unified explanation of hadron structure, production, annihilation and other phenomena with his research results of laminar model and quantum field theory of composite particles. He participated in the research on the atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb issues in China, and was one of the early pioneers of hydrogen bomb research in China.
2. Deng Jiaxian (1924-1986) is a Han Chinese male, a native of Huaining County, Anhui Province, a member of the Chinese **** Party and the Jiu San Society. Before his death, he was deputy director of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission. He is a famous nuclear physicist. Deng Jiaxian is one of the founders of China's nuclear weapons theoretical research. Deng set up the ideal of strengthening the country with science and technology as early as he was a teenager, and in 1948, he studied at Purdue University in the U.S.A. and obtained a doctorate degree in physics, and in 1950, he gave up the favorable working and living conditions abroad and returned to his motherland. In order to develop the national defense scientific research, he was willing to be an unsung hero and struggled in obscurity for several decades. Deng Jiaoxian organized and led the research on the design principle of hydrogen bomb and the selected technology pathway, and organized, led and personally participated in the development and test work of China's first hydrogen bomb in 1967.
