The earliest predecessor of Qisda Technology was Mingqi Computer, which was established on April 21, 1984, as a company under the Acer Group, and *** with the acer logo.
In 2001, Acer spun off its brand and foundry business. On December 5 of the same year, BenQ launched its own brand BenQ, and changed its English corporate name to BenQ Corporation, which was renamed to BenQ Telecom in May 2002, with K.Y. Lee as chairman.
