2. Process and description
(1) Phase I adopts the sexual sludge treatment process, that is, adsorption biodegradation method.
The process flow is as follows:
Sewage → pumping station outside the plant → coarse grating → lifting pump room inside the plant → fine grating? → aeration tank sedimentation tank → selection tank → oxidation ditch → final sedimentation tank → contact tank → Han River (see notes)
Sewage enters the plant first through the coarse grating to separate large pieces of garbage, like bags of rubber, leaves and so on. The trash comes out and is disposed of by the sanitation department. Since the water level coming into the plant from the pipeline is very low (the plant is higher than the level), the lifting pump house plays a big role in order to work easily. Here, six 3,000 m3/h submersible lifting pumps are used, with a pump head of 17 meters, so that the later processes can be carried out at ground level. The fine grating is to go to the small pieces of garbage.
The aeration sedimentation tank is used to remove the fine inorganic particles in the sewage (such as mud and sand, cinder, etc.) as well as the surface oil.

3. Advantages and problems of the process
