Huimin County is a county under the jurisdiction of People's Republic of China (PRC) and Binzhou City, Shandong Province, China, which lies between east longitude117' and north latitude 1 17 49' and north latitude 37 6'. It is located in the north of Shandong Province, bordering Yangxin County of Binzhou City in the north, Bincheng District of Binzhou City in the east, gaoqing county and Zouping City of Zibo City in the south and Shanghe County and Jiyang District of Jinan City in the west.

Geology:

Huimin county is located in the middle of Jiyang depression in North China fault depression. Geologically, it belongs to the depression under the North China platform, and Jiyang depression is a Cenozoic sedimentary basin developed on the basis of Mesozoic graben depression. The formation of this basin has experienced several cycles of alternating clastic deposition history, forming a thick layer containing brackish water.

Terrain:

Huimin county belongs to the alluvial plain in northwest Shandong, with high terrain in the southwest and low terrain in the northeast. The ground elevation is generally 8 ~ 20.7m (altitude), the average ground elevation is generally12.8m, and the ground slope is1/5000 ~11000. Landforms include flat land, slopes, hills and depressions. The flat slope is the largest, accounting for 50% of the county's total area.

Hydrology:

There are four rivers passing through Huimin County. The Yellow River enters from Guojia Temple in Jiyang County from west to east, and goes out from blacksmith Weicun East to Binxian County, with a total length of 46.28 kilometers, which is the main irrigation water source in the county. The Haihe River runs through the county in southwest-northeast direction and flows through the south of the county, with a total length of 45.2 kilometers. Sufficient water and good water quality are the main channels for flood drainage and irrigation in the county.
