On December 13, 2006, the Institute of Photovoltaics received the "Planning Permit for Construction Land Use of the People's Republic of China*** and the State of China" approved by the Beijing Municipal Planning Commission for a site area of 105,070 square meters in the town of Xibeiwang, Haidian District. There are four units in the "CAS New Technology Research and Development Base": the Institute of Photonics, the Institute of Acoustics, and the Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth Science (including the Aerial Remote Sensing Center).
The Institute of Optoelectronics Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Institute of Optoelectronics) was established in November 2003 as one of the major reforms for institutional innovation in the "Knowledge Innovation Project" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is an overarching research unit that combines the functions of overall management and technology integration. Chinese Academy of Sciences Satellite Navigation Department, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Floating Vehicle System Research and Development Center, 02 special R & D Management Office is located in the Institute of Optoelectronics.
The scientific and technological layout of the Institute is centered on three areas, namely, optoelectronic engineering, aerospace and aviation, and applied science and technology:
Optoelectronic engineering - focusing on the direction of computational optical imaging technology, projection optical system technology, large-scale and complex laser technology, and laser measurement technology, the Institute carries out prospective research, design and implementation of system solutions, as well as the design and implementation of the system solutions. research, system solution design and implementation, key technology research to support the overall and system integration and other innovative activities.
Astronautics and aviation - centering on the technical fields and overall tasks of space system engineering, satellite navigation and floatation vehicles, etc., it will carry out innovative activities such as development strategy research, forward-looking research, system solution design and implementation, key technology research to support the overall and system integration, and so on.
The field of applied science and technology - focusing on the research of imaging and detection mechanisms and methods of photoelectric loads, the comprehensive evaluation of photoelectric load performance and the technical research of comprehensive data quality monitoring system, etc., the company carries out forward-looking research, system solution design and implementation.
The Institute's cutting-edge, strategic and system-integrated innovation work in the above three areas has gradually formed a disciplinary and technical field and a technical overall system that continuously supports and backs up the parallel development of multiple overalls.
The Institute has established an organizational structure and management system suitable for a general unit. The main scientific research units are: Optical System Engineering Research Department, Earth Observation Technology Application Research Department, Space System Engineering Research Department and Balloon Vehicle R&D Center. There are two key laboratories of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Key Laboratory of Computational Optical Imaging Technology of CAS and the Key Laboratory of Quantitative Remote Sensing Information Technology of CAS.
In order to expand the field of scientific research and strengthen the cooperation between the institute and the local community, the Institute of Photonics and the National Disaster Reduction Center jointly set up the "China Space Technology Application Research Center for Disaster Reduction", with the Qingdao Municipal Government *** to build the "Qingdao R & D Base of the Institute of Photonics", and with the National Laser Company to set up the national semiconductor pumping laser engineering center. The company established the National Semiconductor Pump Laser Engineering Technology Research Center. Relying on the Institute of Photoelectricity, it has established the "National Technical Committee for Standardization of Remote Sensing Technology", "National Technical Committee for Standardization of Photoelectricity Measurement" and "National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Laser Devices". "
Photonics Research Institute
Photonics Institute of balanced development of the direction of the various disciplines, has achieved a number of scientific research results. Such as science and technology exploration tethered balloon platform, electric power propulsion airships, unmanned aircraft remote sensing payload verification system, large-scale complex lasers, very large-scale integrated circuits lithography key components, airborne LIDAR and large-screen laser display system, etc.; at the same time, the Institute of Optoelectronics to fight for and implementation of a number of major national projects, to achieve a sustainable and healthy development.
As of the end of 2014, the Institute of Photonics has 347 active employees and 278 scientific research positions. There are 39 full senior professional and technical positions, 82 associate senior professional and technical positions, 1 Jieqing, 4 Hundred People Plan. The average age of the staff is 33 years old.
The Photoelectricity Institute is located in the new technology base park in Beijing, with a building area of about 31,000 square meters, and the second phase of the project is being prepared for the project. The new park has a beautiful environment, complete functions and facilities to meet the needs of scientific research.
Since the establishment of the Photoelectricity Institute, it has been exploring and innovating, striving and enterprising, effectively integrating the relevant strengths of the Academy of Sciences in the three technical fields, undertaking a number of systematic overall tasks, and preliminarily possessing the knowledge and technology foundation of the whole chain of satellites, floaters, payloads, data processing and applications, and the capability of proposing and implementing systematic solutions.
The Institute of Optoelectronics will, under the correct leadership of the Party Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in the unity and cooperation of all staff, hard work and innovation, to further clarify the positioning, condense the objectives, emancipate the mind, seek truth from facts, in-depth practice, and actively implement, and to make new contributions to the development of China's optoelectronics and space business!
