What is a good standard for video codecs and decoders for telemedicine

H.266 Multi-Function Video Coding Codec standard, the new H.266/VCC codec has gained a great improvement in data compression efficiency and reduced the amount of data by 50% while maintaining the same level of clarity.

The announcement of the new standard states that H.266 will reduce data requirements by approximately 50 percent due to improved compression techniques.

With the previous HEVC codec, it took about 10GB of data to transmit a 90-minute Ultra High Definition (UHD) video, whereas H.266 can do that with just 5GB.
