British goods import and export trade statistics for January-September 2019:

According to H.M. Revenue and Customs, the total import and export of goods in the U.K. amounted to 844.98 billion U.S. dollars in January-September 2019, which is lower than the same period of the previous year (the same below) by 2.5%. Among them, exports amounted to 347.78 billion U.S. dollars, down 7.9%; imports 497.20 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.5%. Trade deficit of 149.42 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 33.2%.

Sub-country (region), January-September UK exports to the United States, Germany, France, the Netherlands and China accounted for 15.1%, 10.0%, 6.9%, 6.5% and 6.2% of the total exports of the United Kingdom, an increase of 6.6% to the United States, Germany, France, the Netherlands and China, respectively, decreased by 3.8%, 3.0%, 14.0% and 3.5%; from Germany, United States, China, the Netherlands and France accounted for 13.0%, 9.8%, 8.1%, 8.1% and 5.9% of the total imports of the United Kingdom, respectively, from Germany and the Netherlands decreased by 8.9% and 4.0%, and from the United States, China and France increased by 2.2%, 3.4% and 2.9%, respectively. Britain's main source of trade deficit is Germany, China and the Netherlands, January-September deficit of 29.61 billion U.S. dollars, 18.76 billion U.S. dollars and 17.72 billion U.S. dollars, a decline of 14.3% in Germany, China and the Netherlands, respectively, increased by 12.7%, and 12.8%. The trade surplus came mainly from Ireland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with a surplus of US$7.40 billion in Ireland, up 1.0%, and a surplus of US$6.15 billion in the UAE, down 1.0%, in the January-September period.

Sub-commodity, mechanical and electrical products, transportation equipment, chemical products and mineral products are the UK's top four export commodities, exports from January to September 76.10 billion U.S. dollars, 52.89 billion U.S. dollars 45.02 billion U.S. dollars and 30.68 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 21.9% of the total exports of the United Kingdom, 15.2%, 13.0% and 8.8%, a decline of 0.5%, 10.4%, 7.4% and 14.8%, respectively. are electromechanical products, precious metals and products, transportation equipment and chemical products, January-September imports of 100.79 billion U.S. dollars, 64.33 billion U.S. dollars, 63.64 billion U.S. dollars and 46.22 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 20.3% of the total imports of the United Kingdom, 12.9%, 12.8% and 9.3% of total imports of precious metals and products, an increase of 108.0%, precious metals and products. Electromechanical products, transportation equipment and chemical products decreased by 3.2%, 5.4% and 3.6% respectively.
