Yancheng Airport is located in Nanyang Town, Yancheng City, 8.3 kilometers away from the city center. Based on Yancheng Airport, it is designed and built according to 4C standard, with an annual passenger throughput of 300,000 passengers. Scientific design, reasonable layout, complete functions and advanced equipment, with advanced air traffic control, communication, navigation, meteorology, maintenance, security inspection, fire protection, traffic, navigation aid lighting and other systems.
It can guarantee the full-load take-off and landing of McDonnell Douglas -82, Boeing -737, Airbus -320 and below, and it was completed in March 2000. Yancheng Airport has successively opened domestic flights from Yancheng to Beijing, Guangzhou and Wenzhou, and opened international temporary charter flights from Yancheng to Seoul in April 2004, and then gradually opened flights to Xi, Xiamen, Wuhan and Dalian.

The original terminal building of Yancheng Airport covers an area of 4,340 square meters. The new terminal building will expand around without changing the structure of the original terminal building. The new building will include the old building with the same design style. After the expansion, the total area reached 13 100 square meters, and the renovation project passed the completion acceptance on 12, 2008.
Yancheng Airport was officially opened to traffic on March 29th, 2000. The runway is 2200m long, the flight area is 4C, and the designed annual passenger throughput is 300,000 passengers. Flights from Yancheng to Beijing, Guangzhou and South Korea have been opened. In 2007, Yancheng Airport transported 73,900 passengers, 579 tons of goods by post and 1 162 flights.
