Will the patient suffering from lung cancer do a lung biopsy? Will it cause cancer cells to spread?

1. When lung cancer is suspected, percutaneous lung puncture can be considered. The needle for percutaneous lung puncture is very thin, and generally a biopsy gun of 16G or even 18G is used. The puncture is relatively safe, and the possibility of spreading from the needle track is very small. If it is really lung cancer, the patient will hardly die of needle track spreading caused by percutaneous puncture. Because peripheral lung cancer is very close to the chest wall, tissue can hardly be taken out by fiberoptic bronchoscopy, so percutaneous lung puncture is often used for the diagnosis of lung cancer, even if other tests confirm lung cancer, in order to clarify its histological classification and facilitate chemotherapy, percutaneous lung puncture is also done; 2. The requirements of percutaneous lung puncture are not high. As long as the patient has no severe emphysema, there is no serious problem in blood coagulation function and there is no infection at the puncture site, almost all can be done.
