Pruning method and time of Yushu

The pruning time of Yushu is 65438+February and 65438+1October in the coming year. The pruning method is as follows:

Generally speaking, the dormant period of Yushu is 65438+February, and the following year is 65438+ 10. At this time, Yushu needs to be cut short, that is, the branches should be kept at about 10 to 25 cm. Cut off dead branches and diseased branches when cutting short, and the whole Yushu will be healthy and beautiful.

The flowering period of Yushu is generally in spring and summer, and it can be pruned after the flowers fail. Generally, the branches that have blossomed should be cut off. According to the overall shape, we need to keep at least 4 buds on each branch. After pruning, the new branches will regrow at these bud points.

Yushu is dormant in winter, and it can also be pruned at this time. Pruning at this time is mainly to cut the branches short. According to the overall size of the plant, the length of the branches is about 10-25 cm, which can also be shortened according to the overall shape of the plant, so that the leaves will appear layered and patchwork.

Precautions for pruning

Pruning is not recommended when the summer temperature is higher than 35 degrees, and it is best not to prune Yushu when the winter temperature is lower than 5 degrees. After pruning, Yushu should be ventilated, basked in the sun, not caught in the rain, not sprayed by leaves, so that the wound can heal as soon as possible and avoid bacterial infection.

Pay attention to the weather changes when pruning, and do it on sunny days. If it is rainy after pruning, carbendazim can be applied to the wound, otherwise the wound will shrink and dry up due to bacterial infection, which will affect appreciation and growth. After pruning in spring, it should not be exposed to the sun, but should be maintained in a ventilated and rainproof place. During this period, it is not allowed to spray water on the leaves, and then move to the outdoor for maintenance after the wound heals.
