Why are there so many female mosquitoes?
Female mosquitoes suck blood for reproduction, and only by sucking blood can they lay eggs. Male and female mosquitoes usually feed on pollen grass juice. Adult mosquitoes can dance in groups to mate and suck blood after 24 hours of emergence. High temperature, high humidity and low light can promote the blood-sucking activity of mosquitoes. With the digestion of stomach blood, the ovaries of female mosquitoes gradually develop, and when they mature, they begin to lay eggs, then suck blood, and so on. Different mosquito species have different bloodthirsty habits, and some are addicted to human blood, such as Aedes albopictus; Others are addicted to animal blood, such as Chinese mosquitoes and Culex tritaeniorhynchus; Others suck both human and animal blood, such as Culex pipiens pallens. Most mosquito species are used to sucking blood at night, and a few mosquito species, such as Aedes albopictus, mostly suck blood during the day.
