Brief introduction of world contraception day.

Every year on September 26th, world contraception day. This is an international commemoration day, which aims at raising young people's awareness of contraception, promoting young people to make responsible choices about their sexual behavior and reproductive health, improving the rate of safe contraception and improving the level of reproductive health education, thus promoting young people's reproductive health and sexual health. World contraception day has received support from more than 70 countries and 12 international NGOs and scientific and medical groups. Bayer Healthcare Co., Ltd. is the initiator and sponsor of world contraception day.

World contraception day's predecessor was the "Remembrance Day for the Prevention of Unintended Pregnancy among Minors" initiated by Latin America in 2003, and since then it has received positive responses from many countries. In 2007, it was officially named "world contraception day" by Bayer Healthcare Co., Ltd., six international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and * * *. These international NGOs include: Mary Stephen International, European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health, International Federation of Women and Children and Population Council. In the following five years, "world contraception day" was supported and joined by more governments and non-governmental organizations, such as USAID, International Planned Parenthood Federation, German Population Development Foundation and Pan-American Health Education Foundation.

More than 70 countries and regions around the world have held commemorative activities around September 26 every year, calling on young people to raise their awareness of contraception and make responsible choices for their contraception and reproductive health. In 2009, with the active efforts of the global headquarters of Bayer Healthcare Co., Ltd., China joined the publicity activities in world contraception day for the first time, and provided the support of world contraception day, the official website of China, to encourage young people to exchange contraceptive knowledge confidently and frankly, guide correct contraceptive methods, and promote young people to choose effective contraceptive methods to avoid unintended pregnancy.
