Scenic spots/tourist attractions
Shali beach
Shali Beach is located in the south of Dakar. Our GPS shows that it is 60 kilometers away from Dakar in a straight line and about 80 kilometers by car. Dakar itself does not have high-quality beaches, which are basically volcanic ash reefs. There are some beaches on the coastline south of Dakar, the most famous of which is Shali Beach.
rose lake
Lake Ross is more than 20 kilometers away from Dakar, the capital of Senegal, and it is the end of the famous Paris Dakar Rally. The lake is red, hence its name because of its high salt content. The good time every day is at four or five o'clock in the afternoon. When the sun goes down, the whole lake will glow red in the sun. There are piles of salt dug from the bottom of the lake, piles and small piles, and some are still labeled with price tags. It is said that these salts are all raw materials sold to processing plants. Lake Ross is a lagoon. Primitive seawater was isolated and formed. After exposure to the African sun, the mineral salt content in the lake is getting higher and higher. Rose lake was originally 15 km long, only 6 km long. Because there is a lot of crystalline salt at the bottom of the lake to form a shell, fresh water can be produced below one meter by the lake.
Gore i.
The beautiful island of Goree
Three kilometers southeast of Dakar, the capital of Senegal, there is an island 900 meters long from north to south and 300 meters wide from east to west. This is the world-famous tourist island-Gore Island. Located in the south of Cape Verde Peninsula in Senegal, it is one of the earliest European colonies in West Africa. The area is only 36 hectares (88 acres). It has been occupied by Portugal and France since the middle of15th century. Used to be a stronghold of the Atlantic slave trade. Decline with the rise of St. Louis and Dhaka. The island has beautiful scenery, museums and ancient castle ruins, and is a tourist attraction.
Goree Island, solidified by molten black basalt, looks like a black pearl embedded in the blue sea. It has a platform, a fortress at the southern end and a fortress (estelle Fort) at the northern end. There is a small pier on the island for small boats to dock in Dakar. On both sides of the street are paved with sandy roads, and ochre-red dilapidated houses stand side by side. The main buildings on the island also include a mosque, a church and one or two colonial government buildings. Compared with other tourist attractions in the world, Africans have frequented the island since the Neolithic Age, and the basalt tools found on the island are the same as those found on Cape Manuel and Madeira Islands.
