1 season
Cross-country races should usually be held in winter after the track and field season.
2 routes
Cross-country race routes should be limited to open fields, wilderness, open spaces and grasslands as far as possible. The number of crossings should be reduced to a minimum.
It is necessary to clearly mark the competition route, and it is best to set fences or obstacles on both sides of the competition route. If you can't do this, you should at least use the continuous strips on both sides of the route as a sign.
When surveying the route, you should avoid high obstacles and dangerous routes, such as deep pits, dangerous uphill and downhill, dense jungles, etc.
In short, we should avoid all obstacles that bring difficulties to the competition and violate the purpose of the competition. It is not suitable to set up artificial obstacles, but it can also simulate natural obstacles in the wilderness when it is necessary to set up this sport. If a large number of athletes participate in the competition, there shall be no narrow road sections or other obstacles within 1500m after the start to avoid congestion.
The route of the competition should be measured and the distance of the competition should be announced when the invitation letter is sent. We should take this opportunity to briefly introduce the route. When the race route is circular, it is suggested that the distance per lap should not be less than 2200m.
Organizers should be responsible for providing suitable and marked competition routes and explaining the details of the competition routes in the order book. Assign route managers, inspectors and, if necessary, guides to guide athletes on the right route in complex areas.
In addition to international competitions, the above-mentioned regulations on routes can be revised according to the actual situation in various places. It is suggested that athletes be divided into different age groups.
4 race distance
The distance of IAAF World Cross-country Team Championship is about: men 12km, men 4km, youth 8km, women 8km, women 4km and young women 6km.
It is suggested that other international competitions and domestic competitions should also adopt similar competition distances.
5 set out
With the standard password for long-distance running, the starting gun goes off and goes.
If the number of participants is large, notice should be given five minutes before departure, and the number of advance notices can be increased if necessary. When starting, each team should be provided with the starting position, and the players of each team should line up at the starting point.
In cross-country races, athletes must not accept anyone's help.
6 scoring
At the end of the game, the referee should judge the ranking of the scoring players of each team, and then add up the ranking scores, and the one with the least total score will win.
When calculating the total score, the ranking of athletes who participate in the competition as individuals can be removed, and the subsequent ranking can be adjusted accordingly. However, this method should not be used when a large number of athletes take part in the competition.
If the total score is equal, the team with the best score will win.
7 drinking water, water and beverage stations
Drinking water and other suitable drinks should be placed at the beginning and end of all competitions.
In all sports competitions, if weather conditions require, a drinking water and water station will be set up every 2 km to 3 km or every lap.
8 mountain cross-country running
The main section of mountain cross-country running should be held in Shan Ye, avoiding expressways, including a certain number of uphill (mainly uphill) or uphill and downhill (starting point and ending point are at the same height).
It is suggested that the approximate distance and total uphill amount of international competitions are as follows (65,438+0). The distance of uphill running is 12km for adult men, 1.200m for adult women and 550m from for young men.
(2) The starting point and the ending point are set at the same height. The race distance is uphill to adult men 12km, adult women 700m, young men 7km and young men 7km.
The length of the route through the asphalt highway shall not exceed 20% of the whole journey. The race route can be designed as a ring.
