Virgin Atlantic is happy to help children fly alone. We accept children from 5 to 15 years old (16 years old or younger). ?
When booking air tickets, you should apply for the service of children flying alone directly through Virgin Atlantic office or travel agency. This service cannot be booked online. ?
You need to fill out the form (compensation statement) and sign it by your parents or guardians. There are detailed instructions on the form, but after completing the form, the white copy at the top should be returned to the British special help team before departure, and the rest of the form should be presented when checking in on the day of departure.
Remember to check any visas or documents your child needs at the destination.
If children have special needs or diseases, please let us know when booking air tickets, so that we can check whether their health is suitable for flying alone. Although the crew have received first aid training, they can't prescribe medicine for them.
From the check-in point, we will escort and guide them through the airport and then give them to our crew there. After arriving at their destination, we will hand them over to the airport staff, who will accompany them through the customs and immigration departments until their destination, and then hand them over to their parents or guardians who indicate on the form that they will receive them. For security reasons, parents or guardians must show official identification.
Auntie: We can arrange registered child care, NNEB kindergarten nurses or Virgin Atlantic-approved mothers to take care of the children.
? Please call our contact center to apply for this service.
