Introduction to Shi Jia Hutong Museum in Beijing Shi Jia Hutong Museum is located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, and it is a Beijing Hutong Museum. This is an exquisite quadrangle with two courtyards, covering an area of 1000 square meters. The towering old persimmon trees in the yard are covered with gray bricks, and two bird cages are hung in the small corridor, which makes people seem to have entered a big family in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. There are eight exhibition halls and a multi-function hall in the museum. The eight exhibition halls are Historian History Exhibition Hall, People's Fine Arts Exhibition Hall, Modern Education Exhibition Hall, Lan Zhi Fang Kai Exhibition Hall, Hutong Celebrity Exhibition Hall, Time Memory Exhibition Hall, Hutong Sound Exhibition Hall and Nostalgia Life Exhibition Hall, which show the history, culture and changes of Historian Hutong in different forms. This courtyard was originally the dowry of Ling Shuhua, a talented woman of the Republic of China, and many scholars gathered in this small courtyard. There are many old floor tiles in the exhibition hall opposite the gate, all of which are old objects from the 1930s. The museum displays many collections with the characteristics of old Beijing, including copies of employment documents in the 1920s and 1930s, old family baskets, bus tickets and so on. Some of them were donated by nearby residents. There are two houses in the museum, which are specially arranged according to the families in Beijing in the 1950s and 1960s and 1970s and 1980s, showing the style of old Beijing. Among them, the Hutong Sound Exhibition Hall is unique. As long as you select Hutong on the multi-function screen, you will hear different sounds, such as hawking, bicycle horn, etc., which are familiar sounds in the memory of old Beijingers. This museum is hidden in an alley, which is regarded as an old Beijing-style museum.
