Information literacy is an adaptation to the information society. Ability and quality, including basic learning skills (reading, writing and calculating), information literacy, innovative thinking ability, interpersonal cooperation spirit and practical ability. Information literacy is one of them.
Information literacy involves all aspects of knowledge, is a special and extensive ability, including humanities, technology, economy, law and many other factors, and is closely related to many disciplines.
Content of information literacy education
(1) Cultivation of information consciousness. Information consciousness is people's sensitivity to information. Students are required to have information sensitivity, information application awareness and information health care awareness.
(2) Cognition and choice of information sources. Due to the diversity of information sources, the evaluation of its reliability and authority is more complicated, and even the evaluation criteria are not absolutely unique. This requires students to understand the evaluation process of information sources with critical thinking, and choose information sources reasonably according to specific problems and combining learning objectives and application situations.
(3) Information query and acquisition. Information query and acquisition is a process of continuous exploration, which runs through all aspects of problem discovery, research and solution, including decomposing complex problems into several simple problems, analyzing specific problems, determining retrieval requirements, formulating retrieval strategies, analyzing retrieval results, constantly improving retrieval strategies as needed, mastering various ways to obtain information content, and reflecting on the information query process, so as to develop effective thinking habits of information retrieval and acquisition.
(4) Management and utilization of information. In the participatory information environment, every student is not only a user of information, but also a producer and disseminator of information. We should analyze and integrate the acquired information and knowledge, form new achievements, share and communicate with classmates and peers, integrate into academic dialogues at different levels, and promote scientific research progress.
(5) Moral and information security. Students should understand the relevant laws and policies in the process of information inquiry, acquisition, dissemination and utilization, restrain and standardize information behavior, and respect and protect intellectual property rights; In academic research and communication, abide by academic norms and academic ethics, and put an end to academic misconduct; Strengthen information security awareness and prevent confidential information and personal privacy from being leaked.
