Introduction of testicular insufficiency
Incomplete testicular descent refers to the disorder of testicular descent, which stays on the way down and fails to enter the scrotum. It is also used to be called cryptorchidism in clinic. Cryptorchidism is a congenital disease. The occurrence of cryptorchidism is related to hormone level, testicular supply and short spermatic cord. Cryptorchidism mostly occurs on one side, and the incidence of bilateral cryptorchidism is about 10-25%. Cryptorchidism is often accompanied by indirect inguinal hernia. Because the temperature of cryptorchidism in abdominal cavity or inguinal region is higher than that in scrotum, the testis is in this environment for a long time, which leads to hypoplasia and degeneration of seminiferous tubules and spermatogenic dysfunction. After a long time, young and middle-aged cryptorchidism will turn into testicular tumor, so cryptorchidism should be treated as soon as possible and returned to scrotum to avoid complications.
