Engaged in food production, food sales, catering services, shall obtain a license according to law. However, the sale of edible agricultural products does not require a license.
From 20 16 1, the food business license "two certificates in one" will be implemented. The Food Circulation License and Catering Service License, which have been used for many years, will be replaced by the Food Business License issued by the US Food and Drug Administration.
The new certificate will add a "social credit code" consistent with the business license and implement the principle of "one certificate and one place". Market entities engaged in food business can only have one number of Food Business License, and the validity period is extended from 3 years to 5 years.
Article 2 of the Food Safety Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) shall abide by this Law when engaging in the following activities within the territory of People's Republic of China (PRC):
I. Food production and processing (hereinafter referred to as food production), food sales and catering services (hereinafter referred to as food business).
Two. Production and management of food additives.
Three. Production and operation of food packaging materials, containers, detergents, disinfectants and tools and equipment for food production and operation (hereinafter referred to as food-related products).
Four, food producers and operators use food additives, food related products.
