Maoming, a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province. Located in the South China Sea coast of China, in the southwest of Guangdong Province, with its back to the southwest of the motherland. Yangjiang in the east, Nanhai in the south, Zhanjiang in the west, Yunfu and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the north. On May 9th, 1959, Maoming industrial and mining area was renamed as Maoming City. The city government is located in Hexi, the city. The main tree species are Chinese fir, Korean pine and Phyllostachys pubescens, and the main ground cover plants under the forest are peony and Commelina communis.
