What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy refers to the use of some psychological principles and methods to treat psychogenic diseases and psychological disorders. It is to relieve the psychological pressure of patients through various methods, get rid of psychological troubles, and make patients' fluctuating emotions and some abnormal behaviors return to normal, so that some physical diseases caused by patients' poor psychological state can be controlled and improved.

Through research and clinical observation, many diseases are caused by psychological factors, so it is impossible to make patients recover from these diseases with simple drug treatment. The so-called "heart disease needs a cardiologist", from the psychological point of view, psychotherapy combined with drug treatment will often receive better results. Of course, not all diseases can be cured by psychotherapy. Some medical diseases and psychogenic diseases are more suitable for psychotherapy. It doesn't mean that no matter what disease, the same psychotherapy can achieve good results. It is necessary to "suit the right medicine" and choose different treatment methods according to different diseases. Formally, it can be carried out through individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy or family psychotherapy; In content, many different psychotherapy methods can also be used, such as psychological counseling, reasoning therapy, educational therapy, suggestion therapy, psychoanalysis therapy, behavioral therapy, exercise therapy, leisure therapy, relaxation therapy, biofeedback therapy, desensitization therapy, persuasion therapy, music therapy, color therapy, self-relaxation training, catharsis therapy, odor therapy, qigong therapy, hypnosis therapy, forest therapy and so on. In the treatment of patients, we must get the help and support of family members, and insist that the treatment is appropriate and correct, or use several therapies together to actively establish self-confidence, which is believed to achieve good results.

The focused part will gradually feel warm and say to yourself, "Just calm down and your hands will feel warm." Then turn your attention to your feet and make them feel warm.
