If the crew fails to pass all the inspections in the first physical examination, they can apply for a second review, and there is no requirement that they must pass at one time. If you do have physical problems, but not serious enough to affect your work and life, such as hyperglycemia and hypertension, take some drugs to lower blood pressure and blood sugar before physical examination. However, if you do have serious physical problems or risk of infection, you should not be forced to stay at home and rest honestly.

There is no time limit. It is enough for the crew to have a physical examination once a year, because the validity period of the physical examination hospital designated by the Maritime Safety Administration is 1 year. You don't have to have a physical examination every time you get on board. As long as the health certificate is valid, it can be changed once a year. Crew members with HIV are not allowed to board the ship.
