The elderly should pay attention to the following seven aspects of inspection:
1, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular examination. This is the focus of physical examination for the elderly. Measuring blood pressure, one of the causes of coronary heart disease is hypertension, which is often at its peak and prone to cerebrovascular accidents; Electrocardiogram (ECG) examination can help us understand myocardial blood supply and arrhythmia. I am very old and can't run a treadmill. It is recommended to have a heart color ultrasound. Carotid ultrasound can check whether the blood vessels are diseased.
2. B-ultrasound and chest X-ray of liver, gallbladder and pancreas. B-ultrasound of liver and gallbladder can check the morphology of liver and gallbladder, and find out whether there are liver and gallbladder tumors or gallstones in advance. Because this is a non-invasive examination, the elderly can check it many times. Chest X-ray can detect tuberculosis and lung cancer early, and the elderly who smoke all the year round should have regular chest X-ray examination, which is the best screening method for asymptomatic early lung tumors.
3, check the fundus. Senile cataract and primary glaucoma can be found early. Patients with hypertension, coronary heart disease and diabetes can reflect whether the artery is hardened by examining the fundus.
4. Check blood sugar and blood lipid. Obese or elderly people with hypertension and arteriosclerosis should pay special attention to this, especially the blood sugar 2 hours after meals can explain the problem.
5. Detect bone mineral density. Old people are prone to osteoporosis, and men over 50 and women over 45 should have bone mineral density tests.
6, gastrointestinal endoscopy. Older people over 50 years old, especially older men, should be included in the "supplementary list" of physical examination. Gastrointestinal endoscopy can find some precancerous lesions, such as colorectal polyps, so as to remove them as soon as possible. In addition, after fecal occult blood examination, digestive tract diseases and cancer can be found early.
7. Gynecological examination or prostate examination. Even after menopause, elderly women can't ignore the comprehensive gynecological examination once a year, while men should have a prostate examination.
