The Putian section of fuzhou-xiamen railway is about 56 kilometers long. It passes through nine towns, namely Jiangkou, Guo Huan, Sanjiangkou, Huangshi, Hohhot, Xindu, Donghai, Lingchuan and Fengting. In addition to the existing stations such as Fuzhou Station, Quanzhou Station and Xiamen Station, there will be seven new intermediate stations in fuzhou-xiamen railway, including three stations in our city, namely Hanjiang Station, Putian Station and Fengting Station. Hanjiang Station only handles passenger transportation in the near future, Xianyou Station only handles freight transportation, and Huangshi Putian Central Station handles passenger and cargo simultaneously.
The construction of Putian section in fuzhou-xiamen railway not only makes Putian bid farewell to the "blank area" of the railway, but also makes Putian integrate into the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta economic circles, which will play a great role in promoting the rapid, sustained and healthy development of national economy and social undertakings, improving the traffic and investment environment, developing Meizhou Bay port resources and building large-scale coastal industries. Xiuyu Port in Meizhou Bay will have a broader hinterland.
Xiuyu Port is one of the three major ports in Fujian, and it is open to 50 ports in 27 countries and regions around the world. A port without a railway is incomplete. With the acceleration of the construction of Meizhou Bay port city, a railway connecting Meizhou Bay and Xiuyu Port is more important. Xu Jinhe, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Fujian Zhonghe Co., Ltd., deeply felt the importance of railway transportation to local economic development. He has been paying close attention to the railway construction in Fujian, and put forward the proposal of building fuzhou-xiamen railway at the Third Session of the Ninth National People's Congress. The suggestion has been responded by the Ministry of Railways, and fuzhou-xiamen railway has been successfully included in the Tenth Five-Year Plan of Fujian Province, and construction is about to start. As for the Xiangpu Railway, he understood it this way: "After the completion of the Putian Railway in xiang tang, it will expand the hinterland of Meizhou Bay Port, shorten the distance between Fujian Province and the central and western regions of the mainland, and solve the bottleneck problem of the exit passage in coastal areas that has plagued for many years."
In mid-August, the news came from Fujian Railway Work Conference: Xiangpu Railway has completed the preparation of the research report, and the bidding work was completed in June+10 this year, striving to start construction in 2006. Xiangpu Railway is another provincial railway in Fujian Province. This railway starts from Xiangtang Station of Zhejiang-Jiangxi Line in the north, leads out from the southern end of Fuzhou North Station of Le Line, passes through Linchuan District, Nancheng County and Nanfeng County of Fuzhou City, enters Jianning County of Sanming City, Fujian Province, and then passes through Taining County, Jiangle County, Shaxian County, Dehua County of Quanzhou City, Xianyou County and Chengxiang District of Sanming City to connect to Putian Station of Fuxia Line, and then to Tangbian Station of Meizhou Bay. The planned main railway line is about 477 kilometers long, with two lines and a speed of 200 kilometers per hour. Among them, Putian is 78 kilometers. After completion, Nanchang and its northern areas (including northwest, north China and central China) will take this line to Minnan (Xiazhang), which is117km shorter than Zhejiang-Jiangxi (Anhui-Jiangxi) and Xiaying lines, and 222km shorter than Beijing-Kowloon and Ganlong lines, and will become a major north-south railway corridor connecting the central and western regions with the southeast coast of Fujian. There will be a broader hinterland for the development of Meizhou Bay and Xiuyu Port.
Expressway network is needed to build Meizhou Bay port city
In order to build Putian into a port city of Meizhou Bay with strong industrial agglomeration, complete supporting functions and beautiful ecological environment within five to eight years, our city is making new breakthroughs in nine aspects: "a million-center city, a city with strong economic development, a land and water transportation hub, a coastal tourist resort, an electric power and energy center, a manufacturing and processing base, a city of arts and crafts, a hometown with characteristics and a large number of new talents". A large number of projects under construction, such as Fujian LNG receiving station, Xiuyu National Wood Quarantine Processing Zone and Wood Processing Zone, and a large number of projects that have been put into operation, such as Tong Jia Tire Factory, Pacific Thermal Power Plant, Hua Gang Oil Production and Mazu City, China Mazu Craft City and Forest-pulp-paper Integration, are under construction on the north shore of Meizhou Bay, especially Xiuyu Port, one of the three major ports in Fujian. Opposite Xiuyu Port, Meizhou Island, the famous hometown of Mazu, receives millions of Mazu believers and tourists from all over the world every year. Our city is still at the forefront of the "three links" with Taiwan Province Province. Various phenomena show that the existing Putian section of Fuzhou-Xiamen-Zhangzhou Expressway is far from enough. In order to make Putian develop faster and promote the prosperity of Meizhou Bay, Xiuyu Port and Meizhou Island, not only railways but also expressway networks are needed.
At the beginning of this year, the Putian-Xiuyu branch line of Fuquan Expressway has been officially listed as a key construction project in Fujian Province during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. This branch expressway will be included in the "three vertical and four horizontal" expressway network planned by Fujian Province, and it is an important part of the expressway connecting Tongsanguo Road trunk line with Fujian coastal double-track expressway and Xiuyu Port in Meizhou Bay. The project is located in the southeast of our city, and the overall route direction is basically north-south. The route starts from Dingdun Mountain in the western suburbs of our city, and the 1.0 km connecting line is built to connect with National Highway 324 (interchange connection). Xipu Hub is connected to Fuxia Expressway, Xiuyu Interchange is connected to Xinxiu Highway (leading to Xiuyu Port), and the end point is connected to Provincial Highway 202 (Xinwen Highway) in Yuepu Village, Xiuyu District. The whole line is 25 kilometers long, passing through Huating Town and Lin Xia Office in Chengxiang District, Xindu Town in Licheng District, Hushi Town, Dongzhuang Town and Yuetang Township in Xiuyu District. The whole line is built according to the standard of four-lane expressway, with subgrade width of 26 meters, designed driving speed 100km/h and designed vehicle load as a first-class highway.
Another expressway is also trying to be included in the expressway network of Fujian Province, namely Meizhou Island-Yongchun Expressway. This highway starts from the north bank of Meizhou Island Cross-sea Bridge (or passage), passes through dongpu town, Zhongmen Town, Yuetang Township, Hushi Town, Gaiwei Town, Bangtou Town, Chengdong Town, Daji Town and Dewey Town in Xiuyu District, and connects with Fuzhou-Zhangzhou Double Line of Shenhai Expressway, extending westward to Yongchun and connecting with Quansan Expressway. The total length is about 130 km. At present, Putian-Xianyou Expressway has been included in the first and third longitudinal connecting lines of Fujian Expressway and included in the provincial expressway network construction plan. In July this year, Fujian Provincial Communications Department and other units incorporated Xianyou-Yongchun Expressway into the implementation plan of Fujian National Expressway, which was reported to the Ministry of Communications with the consent of the provincial government and included in the construction section of the Ministry of Communications. At present, our city is in communication and consultation with Quanzhou Municipal Government to promote the construction of this project.
Xu Xue, manager of Putian Expressway Company, said that in the past two years, the port economy of our city has been developing day by day, attracting more people and logistics, and the traffic volume in the region has also increased rapidly, especially with the acceleration of the construction of Meizhou Bay Port City, the traffic volume is on the rise. In order to meet the demand of traffic volume development, the construction of Putian-Xiuyu branch of Fuquan Expressway is an important channel to promote the development of port economy. At the same time, it will play a very important role in improving the function of regional expressway network, improving the taste of "Mazu culture" and promoting the development of tourism. The completion of Meizhou Island-Yongchun Expressway will play an important role in the faster development of various undertakings in Xianyou County.
To speed up the construction of Meizhou Bay port city, railways and expressways are needed. The criss-crossing railway network and expressway network will provide a convenient "runway" for Putian to take off. With the completion of fuzhou-xiamen railway Putian Section, Xiangpu Railway and Putian-Xiuyu Expressway and Meizhou Island-Yongchun Expressway, an open city with developed coastal industries and magnificent scenery will rise in Putian.
