Brief introduction of Ji Xiaolan's former residence
The former residence of Jilan is a quadrangle with two entrances, which belongs to the Beijing-level cultural relics protection unit. Its layout faces south, and the gate facing the street is the auspicious gatehouse on the top of the hard mountain, which is located in the southeast corner of the whole house. There is a vine in the front yard, which is said to be planted by Ji Xiaolan.
The front yard is "Yuewei Caotang". The plane of the "Caotang" is inverted "convex", and there is a screen in the middle of the north of the hall. On the screen, there is a horizontal plaque inscribed by the famous calligrapher Qi Gong. Yuewei Caotang Notes is an old novel by Ji Xiaolan, and it is as famous as Pu Songling's Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio. This is his study, where he is writing at his desk. What is striking in "Yue Wei Xiao Wu" is the long cigarette bag displayed in the window. As we all know, Ji Xiaolan is addicted to smoking. His long-stemmed Chinese pipe is specially made and nicknamed "Jida pipe".
