Xuefeng Temple (Chongsheng Temple) on Xuefeng Mountain is famous, more than 30 years earlier than Yongquan Temple.
It is one of the five Zen forests in Fuzhou. Also known as Chongsheng Temple, the full name is Xuefeng Chongsheng Temple. Built in the 11th year of Tang Xiantong (870), most of the existing temples were rebuilt during Guangxu period.
The main buildings in the temple are Shanmen, Fatang, Daxiong Hall and Zhaitang. There are three Tathagata Jade Buddhas from Myanmar in Mahayana Hall. Eighteen arhats have different postures and are lifelike. There are four ancient trees outside the mountain gate. According to legend, these two trees were planted by the King of Fujian and a village of eminent monks in the Tang Dynasty, with a history of thousands of years. Xiao er was planted by monks in the Ming Dynasty, five or six hundred years ago. There are Sanskrit Buddhist scriptures and Buddha statues in the temple, which are quite precious.
