China's current economic problems

Some insiders put forward suggestions and comments on all aspects of China's macroeconomic operation from different angles. At present, the outstanding problems affecting China's medium and long-term economic development are insufficient total social demand and disorder of total social supply.

Specifically, it is mainly manifested in the following aspects: 1, and the market driving force of urban and rural residents' consumption demand growth is obviously insufficient. Since last year, China's consumer goods market has been growing steadily, but the growth rate of 8.4% in the first quarter of this year dropped by 1.9 percentage points compared with the same period of last year. According to past experience, the annual growth trend of retail sales of social consumer goods shows a situation of high before and low after. In recent years, the consumer goods market has shown a steady growth trend, in which the more active factors in the consumer goods market are mainly caused by the government's policy role, and the spontaneous role of market supply and demand is still not obvious. The increase in the number of laid-off workers in cities, the widening gap between subsistence allowances, the lag in the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, the successive introduction of various reform measures such as housing, medical care and education, and the imperfection of social security system have obviously weakened the market driving force for the growth of urban and rural residents' consumption demand.

3. The situation that the supply of commodities exceeds the demand is more and more serious. According to the analysis and forecast of the supply and demand of 600 major commodities in China by the State Economic and Trade Commission and other departments, in the first half of this year, the supply of commodities in China exceeded demand by 86.3%, which was more than 5 percentage points higher than that in the second half of last year. Only 13.7% of the commodities are in a balance between supply and demand, and there are no commodities in short supply. The concrete manifestations are: the contradiction between production structure and consumption structure; Due to the existence of a series of contradictions of oversupply and the gradual increase of economic restructuring, the growth rate of fixed assets investment will slow down in the next few years compared with previous years, and the number of unemployed people will continue to increase. Therefore, in the next two or three years, the pressure of oversupply will still exist.

4. People's livelihood faces many challenges, and there are some hot and difficult issues in the field of education. For example, the phenomenon of choosing schools in compulsory education, reducing the excessive academic burden of primary and secondary school students, the tendency of "exam-oriented education", and the education of children who move with them and left-behind children in rural areas are high

Issues such as examination reform are highly concerned by the society and strongly reflected by the masses.
