Baiyun District is one of the six municipal districts in Guiyang, which is located in the middle of Guiyang, bordering xiuwen county in the north, Wudang District in the east and south, Yunyan District in the southeast, Guanshan Lake District in the west and qingzhen city in the northwest corner. It is of great strategic significance to guard the gateway to the north of Guiyang. The east-west border is 28 kilometers long and the north-south border is 20 kilometers wide. The total administrative area is 270.37km2, accounting for 1 1.3 1% of the total area of Guiyang. It is one of the largest aluminum industrial bases in China.
