Jiangsu Health Vocational College is a major of Jiangsu Health Vocational College. The main source of students of Jiangsu Health Vocational College is the National Center Midwifery School, which was founded in 1933. It has gone through many historical periods, such as National Central Senior Midwifery School, East China Midwifery School, Nanjing No.1 Midwifery School, Jiangsu Nanjing Midwifery School, Nanjing Health School and Jiangsu Workers Medical University, leaving the footprints of many famous teachers such as Yang Chongrui, Qu, Sun Shiying, Huang and so on. Another source of the school is the Nursing College of the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was founded in 1958. It has experienced the development period of Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital Health School and Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Medicine School. Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Medicine School is the first school in China to offer nursing specialty of traditional Chinese medicine.
