Why is it that promoting students' mental health is the key factor to reduce the burden?

Excessive pressure will bring many negative effects to the healthy growth of students, so it is necessary to reduce the burden-to reduce the pressure that students are facing now. However, in order to alleviate the excessive pressure in students' daily life, it is necessary to actively build a support system in students' life-to establish positive, healthy, harmonious and smooth communication channels between students and peers, parents and teachers, to improve students' ability to face pressure and respond positively, that is, to teach students how to effectively use coping strategies to cope with pressure, which are actually the contents of mental health education. Therefore, the key to reducing students' burden is to reduce their psychological burden, and the ultimate goal is to improve students' mental health and promote their all-round development.

Is the stress of students' daily life mainly caused by the task of learning itself, or is learning a burden for them due to external influences? In the large-scale interviews with students, teachers and parents in three primary schools and three middle schools in Beijing, we found that the main pressure faced by students is not only the schoolwork itself, but also the psychological pressure exerted by parents and the outside world. This may be because there are more only children in modern society, and many parents focus their hopes on one child and place too many unrealistic expectations on their children beyond their actual affordability. Too high a goal has caused students too much psychological pressure. Parents only pursue "high scores" and ignore their children's mental health.

Therefore, to reduce the burden on children, we must first start from parents: the concept should be reformed, the mentality should be straightened, the methods should be appropriate, and the quality should be improved. Parents should set realistic goals according to their own conditions, reduce their children's "psychological burden" and promote their mental health. Specifically, first, children reduce their burdens and parents increase their burdens; The second is to reduce the burden academically and increase the burden morally; Third, a nutritious diet should reduce the burden and improve the psychological quality; Fourth, reduce test scores and increase abilities and skills; Fifth, self-centeredness should reduce the burden, and strict self-discipline should increase the burden; Sixth, enjoy the burden and bear the burden. Only in this way can the burden reduction be truly implemented in action.
