Speech under the flag of Healthy Vegetarian Day

1. Hello, teachers and students!

It is a great honor to have the opportunity to speak under the national flag today. The topic of my speech is-vegetarian health, starting with me.

In recent years, with the improvement of people's attention to their own health, more and more people began to shift the focus of their diet to vegetarianism and abandon the meat we originally liked. Is vegetarianism really healthier than eating meat?

There is a saying that "the disease enters from the mouth", that is to say, many diseases are caused by improper diet. Scientific research shows that about 90% of cancers are caused by environmental factors, and about 35% of them are related to diet. In order to survive, people should take nutrients from food every day, but the intake must be appropriate. Malnutrition caused by insufficient or excessive nutrient intake is closely related to tumor occurrence. According to the report of the World Health Organization, about 30% of cancer deaths are caused by five risk behaviors and dietary factors: high body mass index, low intake of fruits and vegetables, lack of exercise, smoking and drinking. 30% ~ 40% cancer can be avoided if we can eat properly, exercise regularly and keep normal weight. It seems that our health cannot be separated from vegetarian food and a reasonable diet.

Yesterday was the World Vegetarian Day, also called the International Vegetarian Festival, which originated from India 1986 and was originally called "World Meat Free Day". Nowadays, most of us like meat very much, but we are a little disgusted with vegetarianism, but we don't know that the diet should be reasonable. Simply emphasizing vegetarian food and meat is not conducive to the all-round development of mankind.

6. In life, some people like to eat meat, sweets and fried foods. Lying down watching TV or sleeping after dinner is a bad eating habit, which can easily lead to obesity. There are countless delicious foods around us, but if we don't pay attention to them, it will often cause a burden to our health. From the point of view of nutrition, the golden ratio of meat and vegetables in human diet should be 2: 6, that is, 2 points for meat and 6 points for vegetables. Good and reasonable healthy eating habits can make the body grow and develop healthily. Here I also summed up a good eating habit for everyone. First of all, we should reasonably match the amount of three meals a day, and the distribution of each meal should adapt to the physiological situation and the needs of study and work. Secondly, the combination of meat and vegetables should be appropriate, learn from each other's strengths and not be picky eaters or partial eclipse for a long time. Finally, don't overeat at any time.

7. A reasonable diet is a healthy eating habit that conforms to the laws of nature and a lifestyle that conforms to the trend of the times. For the sake of our health, we should eat reasonably. A balanced diet will not only bring us good health, but also affect our mental health. Finally, I want to appeal to everyone to eat reasonably, stay healthy and be vegetarian, starting from me!
