Beef cattle feeding technology

The main task of beef cattle breeding is feeding, and feeding is the main work of feeding. Feeding should be carried out according to different growth stages and development stages, as well as the characteristics of beef cattle breeds and edible foods. In addition, the main task of beef cattle is fattening, mainly to increase weight. In addition, attention should be paid to cleanliness and disease prevention when feeding, and sometimes it is necessary to prevent epidemics and deworming through feeding. Next, let's look at the breeding methods of beef cattle.

I. Nutritional needs

A beef cattle needs about 2.3% dry matter, 0.8g protein, more energy, and about 15g calcium and phosphorus. Feed about 6 kg of hay, 6 kg of straw, 3 kg of concentrated feed, 0.05 kg of salt, 8 kg of green feed and 2 kg of corn flour every day. Mix them together. Green feed can be fed separately.

Second, feeding management

Beef cattle mainly eat green feed, roughage and dry feed. Therefore, it is best to graze for a long time, let the cattle eat freely, or mow the grass to feed in rainy and snowy days. The grazing period is mainly in the fattening period, probably between May and June. It is mainly to track and observe which grasses cows mainly eat, so that they can grow more such grasses. It also needs to observe the state of the cattle and only needs to feed 2 kilograms of concentrate every day.

Third, green feeding.

The main food of beef cattle is green feed, but try to provide all kinds of green feed, and don't keep a single green feed for a long time, because some green feeds are rich in nutrition, while others are single and have different nutrition, so they should be balanced. Edible grasses include ryegrass, Sudan grass and other high-quality grasses, and straw mainly includes corn straw, rice straw, sweet potato vine, vegetable vine and so on. Common concentrated feed can be corn flour, peanut cake, soybean powder, wheat bran and so on. Forage can be harvested and fed for many times, straw can be dried and stored in winter, and concentrated feed can be processed at any time.

Fourth, intensive feeding.

When feeding coarse feed and green feed, the feed should be cleaned or dried and disinfected. Generally, it should be chopped and fed, which is easier to digest. It is also necessary to add salt to the concentrate. Coarse grains can be fermented and fed to grass. Green feed should be cleaned after storage and before feeding. Concentrate consumption is fed according to different cows. After two months of pregnancy, feed 50 grams of bone meal and 30 grams of salt to the cows. Within two months after delivery, feed 60 grams of bone meal and 50 grams of salt every day. Lean cattle should be fed 1 kg concentrate every day.

The main goal of beef cattle breeding is to fatten and gain weight, but to maintain a healthy growth and development state. Therefore, for different feeding periods, feed should have its own feeding quantity and be distributed reasonably. In addition, we should also pay attention to the reasonable treatment of feed, keep it clean, not moldy and nutritious. It's better to feed beef cattle like this.
