At the same time, all the domestic sewage in the scenic area will be transported to the Dazong Lake Sewage Treatment Plant through an 8-kilometer-long pipeline to ensure that the 24-square-kilometer land in the lake area will not generate new pollution sources.

This livelihood project is based on maintaining the healthy life of the lake, focusing on meeting the needs of regional flood control and water supply, focusing on protecting the ecological environment, taking into account aquaculture and wetland tourism, guiding the scientific development and utilization of Dazong Lake and promoting regional economic development. After the completion of this series of projects, it will greatly improve the quality of life of ordinary people and promote the protection of the ecological environment. At the same time, on the basis of protection, the steady development of modern agriculture, ecological aquaculture and tourism is of great significance to promoting industrial transformation and upgrading in Dazong Lake area and building beautiful Yancheng and green Yancheng.

Returning the lake is not just to hoard a lake of clear water. How to combine the protection and utilization of 4A national scenic spots with moderate development, and develop tourism with scenery is a new topic. Dazong Lake Scenic Spot has been successfully declared and approved as a national water conservancy scenic spot, and actively strives to pass the acceptance of the national 5A scenic spot.

Solve the way out for farmers

Most of the farmers here are locals, purse seine in their hometown and eat by the lake. Gradually, Dazong Lake became a "breeding lake". At the same time, the way out for farmers has become a realistic problem that local governments must consider.

For a long time, there are 266 farmers on the surface of Dazong Lake in Yancheng, of which 160 households are purse seine farmers, with an area of more than 100 mu. After the retreat, the government specially set up a fishery sightseeing area to keep farmers who have been living on the lake and have no land on the shore from their old jobs. Although the farming area has shrunk, it has become larger. Coupled with the generous subsidies given by the district government, most farmers accepted it.

Compared with the traditional "one household, lack of planning" farming model, the scientific and reasonable farming model is more long-term.
