Food health of African tribes

These customs are mainly passed down from generation to generation. In fact, now they don't know why, but only repeat this custom. Maybe they think that drinking blood is more nutritious than eating meat, so they pass this habit on from generation to generation. You know, in Africa, no matter before or now, material conditions are scarce. In the limited resources, drinking blood may be the most valuable thing for them.

This African tribe is called Reddy Caicai, which sounds interesting. Reddy Caicai means "little ant" in their national language. Every family in the Reddy Caicai tribe raises cattle, usually cows. Cattle are the most precious family property, and whoever has three or five heads is a local tyrant. Moreover, men with more cows marry more wives. Therefore, these animals have become symbols of their showing off their wealth. The better the family, the higher the status.

Besides farming, Reddy Caicai people also make a living by hunting and planting, but hunting is hard and risky, so their cattle have become one of the food sources. However, the way they eat cows is unique. They don't eat beef, they only drink cow blood. This custom has been passed down in their tribe for many generations, and no one dares to break it.

Just listening to and drinking blood is a bit scary, but if you know the way they drink blood, you may be even more scared. Instead of killing the cow to drink blood, they cut the vein of the cow and drew blood directly for reference. After the family had eaten enough, they sewed up the wound. Don't drink until the cow is ready. In other words, they drink blood instead of killing cows, so they can drink it all the time. People with more cows naturally drink more cow blood.
