Interpretation of fetal health indicators

Fetal health index is an important content of pregnancy examination, which is of great significance to fetal growth and maternal health. This paper will interpret common fetal health indicators to help expectant mothers better understand fetal health.

Fetal head

The measurement of biparietal diameter of fetal head is an index to estimate gestational age and fetal maturity. Biparietal diameter can also predict fetal weight.

Fetal heart

There are two possibilities for the existence of fetal heart, strong for normal and weak for normal. One is that the fetus is sleeping, and the other may be abnormal. The normal fetal heart rate is 120 to 160 beats per minute.

placenta

Placental grading indicates the maturity of placenta. Placenta ⅲ can be used as a reference for fetal maturity.

Femoral length

The normal length of femur should be less than 20 ~ 30mm of biparietal diameter in the corresponding pregnancy month.

amniotic fluid

It is normal that the depth of amniotic fluid is between three and seven centimeters. Above seven centimeters, amniotic fluid increases, and below three centimeters, amniotic fluid decreases, which is not good for fetal growth.

umbilical cord

Under normal circumstances, umbilical cord should float in amniotic fluid. If you see the umbilical cord image in the fetal neck, it may be that the umbilical cord is around the neck.
