Title: Living Law

There is a "core" of truth in my heart.

I think the human mind presents multiple structures, consisting of multiple concentric circles. Starting from the outside, it is:

1, intellectuality, acquired knowledge, truth and logic.

2. Perception, which dominates the inner mind of mental activities such as facial features and feelings.

3. Instinct, desire to maintain physiological needs, etc.

4. Soul, my worldly experience and karma in the outer layer of my true self.

5. The true self, the core of the soul center, is full of truth, goodness and beauty.

There is a "true self" in the center of our mind, surrounded by a "soul" and covered with "instinct". It is with this "mentality" that people come to this world. For example, when a newborn baby is hungry, it is necessary to breastfeed, which is the "karma" formed by instinct in the outermost layer of the mind.

Then as people grow up, they form "sensibility" outside of "instinct" and "intellectuality" outside of "sensibility". In other words, in the process of birth and growth, the mind will expand outward from the center to form a multi-layer structure. On the contrary, with the gradual aging of age, "peeling" from the outside to the inside.

For example, in the development of Alzheimer's disease, firstly, the "intelligence" functions such as knowledge, rationality, logic and reasoning began to decline, and the elderly became as emotional as children. Then feelings and sensibility gradually dulled, and instinct became prominent. Later, instinct and vitality also weakened, and gradually entered death.

The key here is, what is the difference between "true self" and "soul" located in the center of the soul? The so-called true self, yoga believes that, just like the literal meaning, it is the "core" that forms the mind and mind, and it is the "true self consciousness". Buddhism calls it "wisdom". Once you reach this enlightened state, you can be familiar with all the truths that run through the universe. It can also be said that it is the projection of the thought of God and Buddha and the embodiment of the will of the universe.

Buddhism believes that "all mountains and rivers are buddhas", which means that everything has Buddha nature. The true self is the Buddha nature itself, the wisdom of the universe itself, the truth of all things, and the essence of all things. Such a true self exists in our hearts.

The true self is Buddha nature, so it is perfect. It is full of love, sincerity and harmony, and it has both truth, goodness and beauty. Why do humans yearn for and pursue truth, goodness and beauty? Because in the center of human mind, there is the true self, and the true self has truth, goodness and beauty. It is precisely because the true self is hidden in the depths of my heart that I will strive to pursue and persevere.

As Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor, said, "Self-sufficiency".
