Flight regulations for the elderly over 85 years old

Legal analysis: Every airline has different regulations, so it is best to communicate with the airline before booking. In addition, because air flight may induce heart disease and hypertension in the elderly, it is suggested that the elderly can go to the hospital for examination before the flight. If the elderly feel unwell on the day of the flight, they may still be refused boarding by the airline.

1. China Southern Airlines: There is no age limit for passengers. As long as the elderly are healthy and can get on and off the plane freely, there is no need to issue a certificate.

2. China Eastern Airlines: You don't need to issue a health certificate. If the elderly are found to have physical problems before boarding, the airline has the right to refuse their boarding.

3. Shenzhen Airlines: As long as the elderly are healthy, there is no need to issue a health certificate.

4. International aviation: No health certificate is required. If the elderly are found to have physical problems before boarding, the airline has the right to refuse their boarding.

6. Spring Airlines: Passengers over 75 years old must provide a valid health certificate issued by the hospital within six months and send it to the company mailbox when purchasing tickets. The health certificate must be issued by the hospital at or above the county level and stamped with the red seal of the hospital. Health certificate includes (blood pressure, electrocardiogram, respiratory tract, heart rate).

7. Huaxia Airlines: Older people over 70 years old should provide a health certificate with the words "suitable for flying" issued by a hospital at or above the county level within 15 days before the flight takes off.

Legal basis: Article 14 of China Civil Aviation Passenger and Luggage Domestic Transportation Rules stipulates that passengers should purchase tickets at the ticket office of the carrier or its sales agent. Passengers purchase tickets with their valid identity documents or other identity documents issued by public security organs, and fill in the passenger reservation form. When purchasing a child ticket or a baby ticket, a valid certificate of the date of birth of the child or baby should be provided. Seriously ill passengers who want to buy tickets should hold a certificate issued by a medical unit suitable for flying, and can only buy tickets after the carrier agrees. Each passenger should fill out a ticket separately.
