History of Anshan Museum

Anshan Museum is a local comprehensive history museum, which was formally established in 1983. Its predecessor was the Municipal Cultural Relics Station established in 1950s. There are more than 654.38+00000 pieces of cultural relics and archaeological materials in the collection, featuring palace furniture, porcelain and lacquerware in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The collection is rich in variety and fine products, ranking among the best in the province. June 5438 +2007 10, the municipal government decided to transform Yurun Yuzun on the north side of the Jade Buddha Garden into the new site of the municipal museum. After three years of construction, we moved to a new address on July 29th, 20 10. On August 1 day, the museum opened for trial operation. On September 20th, it was officially opened to the public free of charge. The new site of the city museum covers an area of about 10000 square meters, with a construction area of 7400 square meters. * * * Five exhibition halls: Anshan local history, iron smelting, jade culture, fine collection and multi-function hall. 79 groups of various display cabinets, 18 sand table, 1 relief, 3 panoramic paintings and light boxes. The comprehensive design exhibition hall for cultural relics display covers an area of 2,500 yuan per square meter, and the key parts need sound, light and electricity, and 3D film and television display.
