NAF is the abbreviation of no formaldehyde-based resin and no formaldehyde-based adhesive.
This concept was put forward by California Air Resources Bureau (CARB) in the United States. Its main purpose is to control the formaldehyde emission of board and its harm to human health.
It is required not to use or add any glue and additives containing formaldehyde in the production process, which is also the most stringent certification of formaldehyde emission from plates at present. Among them, NAF is the highest level, and the plates that have obtained NAF aldehyde-free inspection-free certification do not need additional inspection when they are finally sold to the American market.

In 2008, California Air Resources Bureau (CARB) issued "Toxic and Ignorant Air Transmission Control Measures (ATCM)" to reduce the formaldehyde emission of composite wood products, which has been incorporated into the California bill. The Act is the most stringent formaldehyde emission standard for composite wood products in the world.
