It is suggested to find out the entry point of the path first, and then make a barrier immediately. Vaseline, face tape or talcum powder can be used as a barrier. After the barrier is built, the ants outside can't get in. Then choose one of the following methods to try to clear the ant trajectory.
1) Dip the sponge in soapy water, wipe it all the way along the ant track, catch a row of ants, and wring the sponge dry in the sewer. Soap it with soapy water to catch ants, and then screw it into the sewer until all the ants in the track are eliminated.
2) Spray a general cleaner or bleach on the ant marks, and then wipe them off with a wet paper towel. Spraying into the nest is also desirable, but all the ants in the nest must be terminated, otherwise it will be self-defeating and the surviving ants will open up new nests.
2. Crush the "investigator". Every once in a while, the nest will send ants acting alone to find food sources. If you see a lonely ant crawling leisurely on your coffee table, don't let it go home alive.
Because this ant can let the whole nest know where you spilled apple juice and where there is something delicious. If this scout ant comes home with a bunch of brothers, they will track the smell continuously. Unless you are ready to trap them, you should kill them immediately.
3. Remove ants from your pantry or various cabinets. You should put some tempting poison bait and let ants run back to their nests with "trophies". Boric acid powder or borax mixed with sugar water is the most common bait. Boric acid can damage the external surface of ants (similar to diatomaceous earth when boric acid powder exists) and also damage the internal organs of ants (after being eaten). Use a glass of water, two cups of sugar and two tablespoons of boric acid as bait.
1) Wait for the first ants to appear. Don't use bait to attract a new group of ants, otherwise it will attract a new group of ants to nest. If there are traces of ants, put the bait aside (don't put it on the trail, or it will interfere with their way home). You can also put the bait in a reliable place where ants gather in the tea room.
2) If you have pets and children (see the warning below), put the bait in the jam jar and the ants will come to the jar to look for food. Tighten the cover and seal it with transparent glue. Punch two or three holes in the lid to let the ants pass. Then apply a little non-toxic bait outside the jar to enhance the effect of attracting ants. If you are worried that the pot will fall down and the poison bait will leak out, put some cotton balls on the poison bait in the pot.
4. Vacuum the ants. Sprinkle some talcum powder or diatomite, and suck them into the vacuum bag with ants. Then throw it into the garbage you want to dispose of. This step is very important because it can ensure that ants will not build another nest in the vacuum cleaner.
5. Make a mixture with external alcohol, detergent and water. Take a spray bottle, wash it, pour in a spoonful of alcohol for external use and a spoonful of semi-detergent, add water and pour it 2.5 cm away from the bottle mouth, and cover it tightly. Shake the bottle to make it bubble, and then you can use it! Because there is alcohol in the mixture, ants will hide far away.
6. Use "depth beneficial" smoke insecticide (or "smoke machine"). These can make ants extinct for six to eight months, but the disadvantage is that no matter where fumigators are used, they have to stay away from here for hours or even days. You can look for product feedback of this kind of products online, and you can also consult your local home store.
If you are worried that this method uses potentially harmful substances, this method is not suitable for you. If there are children at home, it is best not to use this method, because the child's immune system is not fully developed.
