I was lucky enough to read the book Happiness is More Important than Excellence by Li Zhenxi, which gave me a lot of feelings and thoughts. This book does not talk about profound educational and teaching theories, but reproduces the ordinary and happy educational life of Teacher Li through simple and true stories. These stories are not only stories of education, but also stories of life. What impressed me the most was not only Mr. Li's understanding of happiness and recognition of the standard of a good teacher, but also the teacher-student friendship between Mr. Li and the children in the future class of Leshan No.1 Middle School for more than 30 years.
As parents or teachers, we should let our children know that happiness is more important than Excellence.
Teacher Li said: "Sticking to the educational belief is not for Excellence, but for your own happiness. I don't care about Excellence, I care about whether I am happy every day. Because happiness is more important than Excellence. " In fact, true happiness is more important than Excellence in a person's life. Whether you are "excellent" or not is the evaluation of others, and whether you are "happy" is your own feeling. Feel life with your heart. In a sense, if you have a good attitude, you will be happy. There is no contradiction between a person's Excellence and happiness, they can be completely harmonious and unified. But when sometimes, through our own efforts, we may not get what others call "Excellence" in the process of approaching "Excellence", should we consider that nothing is more important than a free and happy heart? Teacher Li has always maintained childlike innocence and love in his education work for more than 30 years, and feels happy in the gradual enrichment of children's lives and the growth of young teachers.
In fact, by my side, there are many teachers who are always childlike, full of love, stick to their educational beliefs and contribute silently. Their experiences also explain the concept that "happiness is more important than Excellence". Therefore, as a teacher and a child's parents, I must understand and let the children know that I am connected with their life now, and happiness is more important than Excellence.
We should also study hard and be proactive.
Admitting that "happiness is more important than Excellence" doesn't mean that you can't make progress in pursuing your own happiness. Each of us ordinary people has the right to pursue happiness, and we should keep a positive and optimistic heart and pursue the Excellence we recognize. In the process of pursuing Excellence, it doesn't matter that we don't have these "Excellence" for various reasons. We feel happy in the process of practice, and I am also very happy! The "Excellence" recognized by Mr. Li himself is the "good teacher standard" he has drawn up for himself-good classes, good classes and good grades. He said, in this way, he has the foundation to settle down and live, and he also has the chic of action, freedom and happiness of mind.
Miss Li also talked about the importance of reading and writing for teachers' growth, which should be a compulsory course for every teacher who tries to grow up in his spare time!
