Healthy alcohol

According to the report released by the World Health Organization, more than 3 million people worldwide die every year due to harmful use of alcohol, accounting for 5.3% of the total number of deaths, of which more than three quarters are men.

?

And among men, the percentage of deaths caused by alcohol accounts for 7.7% of the total number of deaths in the world, and women account for 2.6% of the total number of deaths.

Harmful drinking poses four major threats.

First, drunk driving

The accident investigation of the World Health Organization shows that about 50%-60% of traffic accidents are related to drunk driving, which has been listed as the main cause of death in traffic accidents.

There are tens of thousands of traffic accidents caused by drunk driving in China every year. More than 50% deaths are related to drunk driving, which has become the biggest "killer" of traffic accidents.

There are five major impacts:

Visual impairment, narrowed vision, can only feel a small part of the surrounding environment.

Motor reflex nerve is dull, and the reaction is slow for a second or two.

The tactile ability is reduced.

The ability to judge and operate is reduced, and it is impossible to correctly judge the distance and speed.

Makes you mentally abnormal, tired, sleepy, sleepy.

Second, alcoholism.

1, simple drunkenness (acute/chronic alcoholism)

Also known as ordinary drunkenness, it refers to an acute poisoning caused by heavy drinking, which is the most serious damage to the nervous system and liver. It can bring great harm to patients in a short time, and even directly or indirectly lead to death.

Clinically, it is divided into three stages:

Excited period: the patient begins to be excited, emotionally unstable, pale or flushed, conjunctival congestion;

* * * Ataxia period: stumbling, clumsy movements, incoherent speech, unclear speech, etc.

Sleep period: the patient enters a lethargic state, the skin is wet and cold, breathing slowly, and he can't wake up; Vomiting may occur during lethargy. If no one takes care of the scene, it is likely to happen by mistake.

At this time, if the patient is examined, it will be found that blood pressure drops and respiratory failure, even dilated pupils, convulsions, shock and even coma. The patient may die if he is not rescued in time.

Acute alcoholism is very common in some countries (such as Europe and America), and it is the third largest public health event in the United States after cardiovascular diseases and tumors.

2. Complex drunkenness

It means that patients suddenly have strong psychomotor excitement and serious confusion during or after drinking a lot.

At this time, the patient's consciousness disorder is more serious, and the psychomotor excitement is stronger and lasts longer. Therefore, it is prone to retaliatory injuries, murder and destruction of property, sexual crimes and other violent acts. The patient only has a vague understanding of the surrounding situation, and forgets part or all of the attack process after the attack.

Third, alcohol kills people.

1, asphyxiation alcoholism

Coma people lose their self-protection function. If they are in supine position or vomit blocks the respiratory tract, they will die of suffocation and lack of oxygen.

2, induce heart disease

Alcohol can induce coronary artery spasm and malignant arrhythmia, and then lead to sudden cardiac death.

3, induced cerebral hemorrhage

Alcohol can excite sympathetic nerve, make blood pressure rise sharply, and then lead to cerebral hemorrhage. According to statistics, 1 10000 people die of cerebral hemorrhage caused by alcoholism every year in China, accounting for 1.3% of the total deaths.

4, damage to the liver, chronic alcoholism can lead to alcoholic cirrhosis.

Other alcohol can induce pancreatitis, hypoglycemia coma and metabolic disorder. These are all related to the death of the patient.

5. Cumulative harm to patients, such as alcohol dependence, mental disorder, alcoholic cirrhosis and inducing certain cancers (oral cancer, tongue cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer).

Fourth, the effect on sperm.

Long-term drinking is also one of the reasons for male infertility. ? Long-term excessive drinking will lead to chronic alcoholism, and patients will have testicular atrophy, which will lead to the decline of semen quality. A very small amount of drinking does not affect sperm quality, while excessive drinking will affect sperm survival.

The study found that it takes at least three months to get back to the state before drunkenness. Experts believe that men with family planning can get pregnant at least three months after drunkenness, so as to ensure the health of the fetus. If the woman is pregnant on the same day, it is very likely that she will give birth to a deformed child, which will have an irreparable impact on future generations.

Dr Tan Desai, Director-General of WHO, said: "Too many people, their families and communities are suffering from the harmful consequences of alcohol use, including violence, injuries, mental health problems and diseases such as cancer and stroke. This has already posed a serious threat to the development of a healthy society, and it is time to strengthen actions to stop it. "

So there is a saying: "drink a little, but too much will hurt your health." I suggest that if you really want to drink some sometimes, just moderate it.
